Lykins is a family owned and operated business. Started in 1948 by Guy ‘Bandy’ Lykins, and now in the third generation of management, we are proud of our rich and diverse heritage.
Our goal is to provide our customers with the highest quality products delivered in the most efficient manner at the lowest possible price. Whether you need fuel to heat your home, fuel for your business needs, transportation of petroleum products, renting a vacation vehicle or perhaps a quick fountain drink and a tank of gas from one of our Lykins’ convenience stores, we are sure to meet your needs.
In 1994, Lykins initiated a strategic plan focusing on the core business of petroleum marketing. This has resulted in divesting ourselves of businesses that are not related to the core and acquiring those that are significantly related to the petroleum industry. Today we continue with our plan of expansion around our core businesses.
Lykins has a strong commitment to our customers. We are a major contributor to the communities in which we do business. Lykins belongs to many trade and business organizations, and we also contribute to many community organizations. In addition, Lykins is very involved in local schools, by lending out employees for "Partners in Education", awarding college scholarships, and supporting many athletic teams.
Currently, Lykins has grown to become one of the 100 largest privately held companies in Ohio, and one of the top 15 largest Petroleum Marketing Companies in Ohio.
Lykins is a BP, Marathon, Exxon, Shell and Clark marketer supplying over 130 independent dealers. The company, headquartered in Milford, Ohio, employs nearly 200 people.
Over the years Lykins Companies has diversified into several specialized aspects of the petroleum industry including wet hosing, petroleum transportation, petroleum wholesaling in 14 States, and servicing more than 25,000 residences with home heating oil.
